Hey gang, does anyone know how to obtain software to download and play torrents?

you can't play a torrent. Torrent files contain data that tell a client where and what to download. I suggest azureus (azureus.sourceforge.net)

Here is a site that has a few torrent clients on. Each torrent client offers different features. Read up on what each one can offer you to select what one better suits your needs.

Also suggest using Google search engine with the search : "Bit Torrent Clients" for futher clients that are available.
