great find, sandy. downloaded many but now all 'save as' go to htm web page. am i doing something wrong?

Re: downloading to copy.... I also found that difficult and perhaps someone who is more computer savy will help us figure a better way...

When I try to view the image ( using Firefox) in the html page, I only get code...IE 6 does not allow me to extract the image from the html page...so as a work around I tried this...Two ways do work

1: open up MS Word and then just copy the image and paste into MS Word... I am sure you can then send that image to the hard drive etc..

or

2: View properties and you will see the jpeg and that works in IE6 but still only gives code in Firefox..View Source also gives the Jpeg direct link.

3: I hope someone can help solve this problem because one advantage I just found with Firefox is...With the No Script extension.. When you only allow imagefap script...you do not down load all the ads etc...which is really cool...

Try pasting the link into either your picture viewer prgramme or an image therefrom and then "saving as" JPG.

As they say, it works for me. And I'm clueless.

i have test a download via IE6 - i see no problem?!

Another option is to grab the images direct via a jpg grab Software tool.

There are Shareware/Freeware and OSS:

Perfect Programm:

Only give the url of website:

imagefap(xy).php?gid=xyz

and the software grab the images. (you can giva a lot of parameters to omptimize the download)

You can choose the destination to download the files.

I have been saving webshots for a long while now. After some time I feel I may have gotten a little more specialized in my photos though. For example, I probably won't save a shot of some girl sitting on the pot unless she's either really cute, a stream is visible, or some extra body parts can be seen. Bad quality, lighting, or too small also don't get saved. Anyway, the whole point of all this is that I use Flashget as a download manager. When I get into the search and retrieve mood, I set the default download properties to my webshots folder and then in order to save the photo, you just right click on it, and then "Download using Flashget." I was able to grab the photos I like or that I don't already have from the links above.

P.S. I'm up to about 1,200 saved shots, but it's also approaching 200 Mb. Although most of the shots are directly from webshots, a few I grabbed from some other sites if they were the same type of photos, and there are almost no repeats. Maybe like 2% at the most, but it's hard to search through them all to find out now.

The nice thing about Flashget is that it saves a list of everything downloaded and I export the list when I clean off my hard drive and then put it back on. That way if I'm searching and I can't remember if I've downloaded a photo or not and I try to use Flashget, it will prompt me and tell me an entry from that exact URL has already been downloaded. Then I can cancel it because I've already gotten it.

For some reason I now find that the 'View Image' does work in Firefox, so I can down load and save when I want to.

Yup.... there is definately something of a harmful nature on these pages. After clicking on a pic, click on the "down arrow" (showing recently visited sites by your browser) that is next to your "back button". On several occasions I saw a list of sites that I HAD NOT visited.
I run a rather "unique" security solution so I don't get virus warnings. My system simply "reverses" all unwanted changes (including viruses, etc.) upon re-boot. After viewing a few pics from this site my computer locked up and I had to re-boot. I will go back and get the rest of the pics sometime soon since I'm "relately" immune (no security solution is perfect), but all should be forewarned that potentially harmful stuff might be on this site.
