I get this messge:
Windows Media Player cannot find the specified file. Be sure the path is typed correctly. If it is, the file does not exist at the specified location, or the computer where the file is stored is offline.

For some reason, none of godspeed's files have been available. Maybe there is some censorship going on.

If an .avi-file is corrupted, you can repair the vids index with "DivFix" (Freeware) or encode it with "Dr.DivX" (Shareware)...

For me it works!

Just google for this programms...

glad some of you got them. is it me or nature of files on my PC? i just upload them from my PC where they play no problem.
i have more and would like to share so pls advise. should i avoid easyshare?

i have real player as default tho no idea if this is relevant.
maybe i should go thru easyshare home page? i just bookmarked last one kizzie easy- shared from/through/via and it seemed to upload ok.

I use Xine in Debian Linux mostly, and they play fine. I do boot Windows98SE sometimes, for the WMVs and so on. I have a program called "GSpot" which will tell me which codec is needed, to play the movie, one for video and one for sound, then you download and install it, and Media Player will play it. I use "Media Player Classic" (from Sourceforge) which is like WMP6.4 - which is pretty ancient. The DivX playa (sic.) will also play more-or-less anything, but they all need to get the codec from Windows. I don't disagree with anything above. I know for certain that Microsoft players won't play an incomplete AVI, and sometimes the message is misleading, and sometimes it a plain lie, so you need to either re-get the file, or rebuild the index as described above.

Looks like Yorkshire too!

Plays beautifully in Xine... and I can watch it while it's downloading.

Just to another bit to my message above, get "Real Alternative" and that installs the necessary codecs for RealMedia files, and Media Player can play them too. I can't get Quicktime to play in Linux though, so I can't do everything. Fortunately I have a Mac as well.
